Charles ""CG""  Moore
Keswick– Charles “CG” Moore was born November 3, 1930 in Harper, Iowa the son of Menzo and Inez (Mott) Moore. He graduated from Keswick High School in 1949. Charles lived in the Keswick area all his life. Charles served in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. He was a 62 year member of the James Murphy American Legion Post 319 of Keswick. He started working at Amana Refrigeration in 1954. Charles was united in marriage to Glenice Slonaker on June 28, 1958, at the United Methodist Church in Keswick. He loved spending time with his family, country music dancing and fishing. His hobbies were working on lawn mowers and wood working. Charles passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Lantern Park Nursing Home in Coralville after a short illness at the age of 86 years.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Glenice; three daughters: Shirley (Mike) Gent of Webster; Susan (Richard) Lucas of North English and Sharon (Mike) Lucas of Cedar Rapids, a son Scott (Robyn) Moore of Fort Collins Colorado. 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. 2 sisters: Ruth Odenell of Ankeny and Doris Wright of Webster, a brother Jimmie (JoAnn) Moore of Keswick, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 grandchildren: Sybrina Lucas and Justin Lucas; 2 brothers -in-law: Dale Wright and Francis Odonell.

Celebration Of Life Service will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Williamsburg. Pastor James Park will officiate. Burial will be in the Sixteen Cemetery in What Cheer, Iowa. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. A general memorial fund has been established. Messages may be sent to the family at www.powellfuneralhomes.com
