Life Story for
Roselyn Krier
SIGOURNEY- Pearl Roselyn Krier, age 85, of Sigourney, died Monday, January 30, 2017, at Manor House Care Center in Sigourney.
Roselyn was born July 6, 1931, in Stuart, Iowa, to Burton and Charlotte (Watson) Ashe and graduated from Richland High School in 1949. On December 3, 1948, she married Glen D. Krier. The couple lived and farmed in Keokuk County for several years. Roselyn was a member of the Sigourney Christian Church and enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, being outside and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband: Glen of Sigourney; daughter: Debra (Steve) Strobel of Sigourney; son: Samuel (Amy) Krier of Oskaloosa; eight grandchildren:Laura (Jason) Brigman of Houston, Texas, Angie (fiancé Jonathan) Strobel of Coralville, Amy (Jared) Molyneux of Sigourney, Shana (Kyle) McCauley of Houston, Texas, Abbie (Jeremy) Strobel - Thomas of Iowa City, Kylie Krier of Oskaloosa, Wyatt Krier of Oskaloosa and Macie Krier of Oskaloosa; seven great grandchildren: Victoria and Alex Brigman, Cade, Reid and Ike Molyneux, Tyson and Madison McCauley; sister: Leora Day of Lubbock, Texas and brother: Richard Ashe of Mesa, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Vicki Doyle and son: Jeffrey Krier and sister: Lucille Cox.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Powell Funeral Home in Sigourney. Burial will be at Conner Cemetery in rural Sigourney at a later date. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at the funeral home.
